This blog task is my Class room Activity. So I will sharing my view about the " Da Vinci Code".
Q.1 Brown States on his website that his book's are not anti- Christian, though he is on a constant spiritual journey himself and says that his book the Da Vinci code is simply " an entertaining story that promotes spiritual discussion and Debate " and suggest that the book may be used " as a positive catalyst for introspection and exploration of our faith. "
- yes , I agree with this statement. Because in this novel is showing about Christianity and Jesus personal life & relationship with Mary Magdalene . This novel in main Protagonist Robert langton & Sophie neveu searching to pure blood of Jesus Christ. Even they are founding to the secret of Mary Magdalene's. Their faith of Christ and some spiritual power is saved to both of them . Well this novel in representing to Anti -Christianity.
Q.2 (if) you have studied ' genesis ' (The Bible ) , ' The Paradise Lost ' (John Milton ) & ' The Da Vinci code ' (Dan Brown ) which of the narratives seems to be truthful? Whose Narratives is convincing to the contemporary young mind ?
- I have studied to ' The Paradise Lost ' ( John Milton ) & ' The Da Vinci code ' ( Dan Brown ) but I don't know about 'genesis ' (The Bible ) . So my point of view that ' Da Vinci code ' novel is a very relevant and mysterious novel .Even other book is not properly contemporary with book of ' Da Vinci code ' novel.
Q.3 what harm has been done to Humanity by the biblical narration or that of Milton's in the Paradise Lost? What sort of damage Does narrative like ' The Vinci code ' do to Humanity.
- the comparison of Da Vinci code & Paradise Lost it is found that in Paradise Lost the fault is shown to the women as guilty, and it's defects are more visible. Where's in the Da Vinci code, Mary Magdalene is eligible for the Bible. He had his relationship with Jesus in this book .it proves that however this matter is not important in feminist. Apart from this, the character of Sophie also emerges as the character of an adventures women.
Q.4 Have you come across any similar book / movie, which tires to deconstruct accepted motions about Hindu religion or culture and by dismantling it, attempts to reconstruct another possible interpretation of truth ?
- yes there are many things culture in which God is condemned. I can not say about such a particular film, but yes, according to Hindu culture & scriptures, both lord Rama & Shiva used to eat Meat . But some Hindu people are not willing to believe in this scriptural fact of lord Rama & Shiva yet the scriptures prove this fact so this fact is so much related to this story of Da Vinci code.
